Some stories should surprise me. This one, however, does not

Now that the excitement is ebbing a bit over Barack Obama's historic election to the Presidency of the United States on Tuesday, I'm glad to see a few people still managed to completely miss the fucking point entirely. In Chicago, where an estimated quarter of a million people at Grant Park celebrated Obama's victory over John McCain and some bitch from Alaska, several people were arrested for confusing the Windy City with Mexico, and firing guns to commemorate history in the making.

Celita Hart, a 19 year-old, thought it would be a brilliant political statement to leave a crowd of people chanting Obama's name, walk up to a police car, and bitchslap a male cop in the face. Hart had already been shouting "you white police can't do nothing" before slapping the police officer. Hart, who quickly found out the police, white or otherwise, can damn sure arrest your stupid ass for assaulting an officer, apparently could not get her head wrapped around the concept THE BLACK CANDIDATE WON! Regardless, that doesn't mean run wild in the fucking streets. It's not like either team from Chicago won the World Series or something. Even if Barack Obama was named the new police commissioner of the city of Chicago, that does not mean you can slap cops. Since you apparently learned nothing else from the experience, try to take that home with you...depending on how your bail hearing went. Hope you didn't think it'd be smart to take a swing at the judge while you were at it.

Elsewhere in the city, 24 year-old Kenneth Smith was arrested for firing three shots from a gun at his house, but took the time to complain the cops only arrested him "because a black man won for president." If that was how it really worked, do you honestly think there would even have been a black candidate? Get a grip moron, it's calling firing a gun in the fucking city limits, you stupid motherfucker.

Even money says neither of these fucking rocket surgeons even voted in the first place. Maybe these two idiots were the real reason Oprah and Jesse Jackson were crying during Obama's acceptance speech.

What part of body cavity search did you miss, dumbass?

The crackhead in question, pictured below, 38 year-old Evelyn Russo of Palm City, Florida, was arrested and charged after stealing two bucks in change from a car. While being booked, they found a glass crack pipe lodged between her ass cheeks, leading to an additional charge of introducing contraband into a detention facility. No word on whether or not charges are being considered for testing the limits of what latex gloves make it acceptable to touch.

Man, even with the grief I give police officers in my articles and posts from time to time for some of the stupid things they do, this is obviously one of those times when they are grossly underpaid, and judging from the picture, extra emphasis on grossly. Even for a crackhead, this dumbass is an embarrassment. It's 2008, lady...the law is well onto the tactic of hiding things in your ASS by now! Not to mention, after taking a look at you, and then this story, and then you again, I would dare venture the pipe was probably healthier before, when just used for inhaling crack, than it is now, after spending an exciting couple of hours crammed up your nasty ass. My advice would be to just go ahead and fucking hang yourself with jailhouse sheets, or your panties, should you even own any, or whatever you can get your hands on, because you obviously suck at life.

ppdingles thoughts on Election night 2008.

So the 2008 Presidential Election is over and history has been made as America(honestly for once)has voted in the first African-American President. But it wasn't such a smooth ride the entire night of November 4Th. Here is my take on some of the dumb things you might of missed that night.

The first had to be when Kentucky went red for McCain. You could have a talking turd with a Republican button on and Kentucky will vote for it. Oh wait they did that before...in 2000 and 2004.

Next is when I saw Louisiana go red for McCain. What the Hell? A history lesson for everyone down there. Lets go back to August 2005 and a little storm named Katrina. While all of you were sitting on your roofs waiting for help, President Bush was eating cake and guess who was eating with him?......John McCain! So next time a huge Hurricane comes your way I hope it wipes you all off the fucking map because your obviously to damn stupid for your own good!

Then there was the Gay-Marriage ban that was approved in California. Shame on anyone that voted for that!!!!! Nobody has the right to decide the life of other people. I just hope someday that the Gay community gets to vote on something that will restrict Straight people from doing something in their life. Turnabout is fair play to me.

And finally this happened the day after the election but it still garners attention. This is the Facebook group for supporters of Sarah Palin on Wednesday November 5Th, 2008

A little fuzzy but it says 364 "fewer" members! Already the rats are jumping ship. Her plane hasn't even touched down in Alaska and her "supporters" are already leaving town. No wonder they lost!

I'm ppdingles and I approve this blog posting!

So, will all his friends be voting dumbass that night?

Rumor is building that country music legend Hank Williams, Jr. is seriously kicking around the notion of running for a U.S. Senate seat in Tennessee. While I shake my head slightly and roll my eyes, I'll, as always, allow you a moment at home to facepalm.

Williams, who has made appearances at ten McCain-Palin campaign stops, says he's quite motivated. Might as well be motivated by something other than reworking the lyrics to his hits to fit the flailing Republican presidential ticket or the intro to Monday Night Football, but come on, this?

While he hasn't taken any kind of formal action, like setting up an exploratory committee, he has reportedly been in contact with former Senators Bill Frist and Fred Thompson. Damn, I'm starting to think that faceplant he took off a mountain may have done more damage that originally thought. First, he hitches his wagon to the McCain-Palin campaign, the most inept presidential campaign in political history, and then he looks up Bill Frist and Fred Thompson for advice? Bill Frist, a doctor who famously tried to diagnose someone from what he saw on a freakin' videotape, and Fred Thompson, a capable actor whose brief flirtation with running for President proved he wouldn't even play a credible President on TV? Bottom line, Hank: leave the family tradition where it belongs, behind a guitar on a stage somewhere. Seriously.

Not Point Break, not even a smoke break in this case

It was the greatest bank robbery ever. Bar none. Period. Last week, the greatest bank robber of all time struck the Wells Fargo Bank in New Carlisle, Indiana, scored, and got away, all in under a minute flat.

While it was not disclosed whether or not the greatest bank robbery of all time netted enough cash to qualify as a retirement score, the truly awe-inspiring part of this whole fiasco was the speed involved. Under a minute? You'd be hard pressed to flesh this story out enough to make a feature film about the caper. For God's sake, most movie trailers are longer than the entire robbery, start to finish.

That is not to say, however, all the thought involved, casing the joint, and the intricate, detailed, precise planning produced the perfect crime. When a 911 call was made, it was instead accidentally re-routed to South Bend, some 15 miles from New Carlisle. Ready for the holy damn! moment? The bank was next door to the freakin' New Carlisle Police Department!

How in hell did this guy rob a bank successfully, in under a minute, with balls that big? I mean, honestly, you could call the 911 mishap a lucky fluke, but who tries to rob a bank next door to the freakin' police department?

Then again, unless they figure out what the bug in the system was between New Carlisle and South Bend, and then fix it, who's to say the greatest bank robber of all time, or an admiring copycat won't try to make it 2 for 2? At this point, I wouldn't necessarily bet against him...or the copycat, for that matter...

re: Eric Momtgomery's call on Probably Uncalled For last night

So what, you got your feelings hurt because I called you a fat bastard? You ARE a fat bastard! You contribute nothing to society, other than selling bootleg DVDs (as admitted on another talk radio show recently), and watching pirated PPV online. Both, last time I checked, are illegal, and you should be ashamed of yourself. You fat bastard.

You want to yell, scream, whine, and cry over MY show? Get over yourself. With all the BS you have talked over the years about being involved in professional wrestling, in various roles, that makes you a public figure, and therefore fair game to the satirical commentary on Probably Uncalled For.

For someone whose only comeback is to call me a druggie, memory serves of a time you advertised (against company policy and against our wishes), a WWA show I promoted and told the masses they could get high at the Shriners Club!

Do whatever is it you think you can do, ya fat bastard, cause the last thing I will ever do is sweat over it. You've never accomplished a thing in your life you can be proud of, and you are flat delusional if you think you can get my show shut down. You're worthless, and this is just further proof. Go get a job, and then keep it, and try to move on with your life. If a caller or someone in the chat room brings your dumb ass up, then yes, it becomes a topic of conversation. Otherwise, your fat ass definitely isn't worth the effort.

Thank you for your time, and support of my talk show,

SD Jones passed away today on his native island of Antigua from complications related to a stroke.
Special Delivery" Jones, one of the steadiest performers ever to appear in a WWE ring, passed away on Oct. 26 in his native Antigua, West Indies; he was 63.
Jones, whose real name is Conrad Efraim, was trained in the early 1970s by WWE Hall of Famer Johnny Rodz, and entered WWE in late 1976. His WWE tenure continued through 1986. Through that time, Jones was a competitor who always gave optimum effort in all of his matches. Many of his opponents knew that if they wanted to gain a victory over Jones, they absolutely had to dig deep to earn it.
One of the more infamous distinctions that S.D. will be remembered for was his match against King Kong Bundy at the inaugural WrestleMania in 1985. The match lasted a mere nine seconds, and although on the losing end, this match made Jones a part of WWE history for the fastest pinfall ever scored at that time.
S.D.’s last WWE appearance was in 2006, when he inducted his long-time friend and confidant Tony Atlas into WWE’s Hall of Fame.
All of us here at Free Rein Media send out sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Why we need a level playing field

Well, here we are, just about a week away from what people are calling the most important presidential election of our lifetimes. Kind of hard to disagree, really. Of course, being a card-carrying Libertarian for nearly five years now, this is my second go-around with the perpetual aggravation of being involved in a third party. The lack of mainstream media coverage, the bug-eyed stares from older voters ("no, ma'am, I'm a Libertarian...it's a political party, not a religion."), and best of all, the stacked deck the Republicans and Democrats keep playing their hands out with, election cycle after election cycle.

If you can believe it, there are 260 declared candidates for the 2008 Presidential election, according to the Federal Election Commission. Bet there is a fair majority of people who will read this and not even be able to name three. If there are any who can't name either of the two major party candidates, let me be the first to congratulate you on making it this far in the article, because it must be one of those strange days where the handful of websites this is appearing on are somehow the only ones that are coming up on your computer. My first thought, upon reading that statistic, was "damn, it's like a Third World election, or worse, the California gubernatorial recall election."

So why is it, when a 2004 Zogby poll showed that 57% of Americans believe 3rd party candidates should be included in the presidential debates, only two 3rd party candidates have debated since the beginning of the televised debate era? You can thank the Commission on Presidential Debates for that. The commission was created in 1987, a dual effort by the Republican and Democratic Parties. I hear ya, it's probably the only time in history, barring declaration of war (justified or otherwise), that they got together on something without a few billion dollars tossed to the winds of pork. This turned out to be such a popular move that the League of Women Voters quit the debate racket altogether the following year. Why yes, it was a presidential election year, and no, I do not think it was a coincidence. When two political parties get together to create a "nonpartisan" committee, for the express purpose of enacting a system to all but guarantee that no one else will qualify for a podium at a debate, not only does the word nonpartisan take a beating, but I'm pretty damn certain a whole plethora of less-civil phrases or expressions come to mind. Like never-ending screwjob. I'm just saying.

The commission's first decision was to enact a 10% threshold in national polling for a candidate to be included in the debates. While that seems fair at first glance, as a third party candidate gaining just the 10% would be facing enough of an uphill battle with the two major party candidates gaining 40% or so, what the Republican Party, the Democratic Party, and the commission have all failed to mention, or explain, is why no national polling firms fairly include independent or third party candidates in the polling. Having worked in market research for a couple of years in previous employments, the simplest way the polling firms do this is by either not mentioning third party candidates at all (the usual M.O.) or mentioning the party, but not the candidate, or stances when relevant. This was further exacerbated after H. Ross Perot's appearance in the 1992 Presidential debates, after which the commission actually increased the threshold to 15%. Thank goodness someone was there to tell them that 15% of impossible is better than 10% of impossible, at least from the nonpartisan view of the Commission on Presidential Debates.

The legality of the 15% barrier has been repeatedly affirmed by federal courts and the Federal Election Commission. Again, no giant shock there, bordering on use of profanity. Of course the Federal Election Commission will affirm the barrier is reasonable. Who makes up the Federal Election Commission and the federal courts? Republicans and Democrats. Why isn't anyone on Capitol Hill gettin' all mavericky with this?

One popular argument for the 15% threshold is that allowing candidates into the debates based on ballot access would lead to a group of third parties fielding candidates with a main focus on ballot access, which could create an overcrowded group of candidates. Uh, yeah, about that...wouldn't you say the current crop of 260 declared presidential candidates is slightly overcrowded. Besides that, third party and independent candidates already have to concentrate a huge part of their campaign on ballot access, as they have to earn their way onto the ballots each and every election cycle in most states, another unfair obstacle the two-party system has left on the road to the White House.

The American people, contrary to what many of the powers that be want you to believe behind all the doublespeak, and "what I meant to say" rhetorical gymnastics. If we can track a dozen candidates from each major party during their primary seasons, then why shouldn't we be able to track three, four, or even five candidates chasing the vote that matters? If the 2008 Presidential debates were open based on ballot access, then reasonably we would also have seen Libertarian candidate Bob Barr (on the ballot in 45 states) and independent candidate Ralph Nader (on the ballot in 46 states).

Having these four candidates on the ballot would be a far better gauge of national trends and opinions than the tired, business-as-usual party line politics we have been subjected to election after election. Many important changes began as ideas from third parties, but seeing as how the two major parties hold a chokehold on allowing the third party and independent candidates to get that message out to the public, by way of a debate, they simply continue to take credit where credit is not due. How is that not part of the business-as-usual attitude we have seen from administrations past?

Bottom line- it's well beyond high time the Commission on Presidential Debates ended the 15% threshold for participation by a candidate in the presidential debates, or at the very least make the five national polling groups they use to compile the percentages start including viable candidates with a mathematical chance of winning based on ballot access, such as Bob Barr. God knows for all the endless, non-stop jabber about change we have heard over the last two years of this campaign, it would be nice to see change that could literally affect the system in Washington.

Great, now the St. Louis Blues have fallen victim to the Palin Curse

So, the St. Louis Blues decided to try their hand with having Republican Vice-Presidential candidate Sarah Palin drop the ceremonial first puck at a home game this last Saturday. Why not? It worked, ahem, wonders for the Philadelphia Flyers.

So after a hard day being deposed under oath as part of the ongoing Troopergate investigation, Palin, along with her husband and two younger daughters headed over to the Scottrade Center to drop the puck for the Blues-Kings game. This time around, Palin caught more cheers than boos, but that's hardly surprising in a way. After all, it was Missouri, the state that kept electing John Ashcroft to office (well, except for that time his lost to a dead guy) before Dubya took him off their hands.

How did it work our for the Blues? They lost, just like the Flyers did when Palin hit the ice in Philly. But the most ridiculous part of the whole evening? Blues goalie Manny Legace tripped on the red carpet they had for the Palin family and other muckety-mucks to walk to center ice on. Suffering a strained left hip flexor, Legace played only one period, allowing two goals on twelve shots.

Holy damn at Christmas, you're kidding me. The goalie couldn't see a carpet put in the middle of a huge sheet of fucking ice? I facepalmed a little longer than usual after reading this, and you at home are more than free to join me in that. No wonder the Blues have not been doing all that well in recent years. The goalie can't see carpeting placed on the ice, how the hell are we going to expect him to see a black rubber puck heading towards him at 90 mph? To make matters even worse, a team official pointed the carpet out to Legace, and he still tripped on it and injured himself.

For the record, I was once, but now am most assuredly no longer a fan of the St. Louis Blues. My hometown team let me down, and the thought of Sarah Palin wearing a big Blues foam finger and a home jersey just drives the stake a little deeper in my heart. Call it overreaction if you will, but at least someone in the NHL will be thrilled there is someone reacting to pro hockey. I will now open the floor for suggestions, as long as you don't mention the Flyers, Red Wings, or Blackhawks.

Palin 2012? I must have picked the wrong week to stop sniffing airplane glue...

How amusing that Sarah Palin named her favorite clothing store as Out of the Closet, a consignment store in Anchorage, Alaska. Hmmm...hardcore Republican loves Out of the Closet? Both amusing and ironic in the same stroke. Oops, maybe I shouldn't have said stroke.

When mavericks collide? Their awkward interview with NBC's Brian Williams notwithstanding, who's campaign is it anyway? What's I'm trying to get my head wrapped around, is with Palin contradicting McCain on numerous occasions, when she's not managing to contradict herself while she's at it, how can any pundit seriously kick around the concept of a Sarah Palin presidential run in 2012? Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying she won't but who in their right mind would take her seriously? Flip flops, confusion, $150 grand in clothes, ethics probes, and of course, the apparent secessionist support aside, what base would she have, and can we start investigating these people now?

A final note on this post- with Palin's brain-shut-off remarks regarding research being conducted with fruit flies, are there yet still people who honestly expect a McCain-Palin administration to have the backs of special needs children? Palin, who has already slashed the budget in her own state in that area, should not be seen as building a lot of confidence there. And four years from now, when her now-infant son won't be small enough to be handed off to another kid when a photo op springs up, ask yourself how many of the Palin offspring will be on stage acting as part of the backdrop. Yep, I think many of you have already asked yourself that question, in spite of probably already knowing the answer.

Probably Uncalled For Episode 71 Recap

Regarding the schmuck in Thomas Township, Michigan who got arrested for getting Bill and Monica with a car wash's vacuum cleaner...damn, buddy, I know times are tough financially for a lot of people here at the present, and 75 cents for a hummer, mechanical or otherwise, may be a hell of a deal, but if I may be so bold, just save up and buy a fucking Dustbuster. The people at Big Lots are not going to automatically assume you are in the market for a cheap companion that swallows, so you can check your social phobias, if any, at the door. An awkward 911 call kind of pales in comparison to spending a night in lock-up, although I'm sure you enthralled the holding cell with the woeful tale of love gone wrong in a car wash parking lot. You should be counting your lucky stars they didn't identify you in the news piece, dumbass...

I said it last night on the show, and I will say it again here- it sure seems like John McCain is already trying out bits and pieces of his concession speech, doesn't it? Already planning on going back to Arizona and serving out your Senate term? That does not sound like a man confident of his chances, and with 12 days to go, it's starting to look like you may have to leverage whatever political capital you have left to even keep your Senate seat, when it's all said and done...

To Frank Armstrong of Clearwater, Florida, the guy who says his Lexus was singled out for vandalism over the McCain-Palin sticker: uh, yeah...maybe if more than just your car was hit by the tools who scratched stuff in the paint, burned it with cigarettes, put a burned flag on the hood, and possibly drained the snake on it, and all cars involved had McCain-Palin stickers on it, then you might have a legitimate bitch. Yours was the only car? Sounds to me like you might have been a douchebag to begin with, political preferences aside...

Glad to see this election is already going to be handcuffed in some shape or fashion by all the hand-wringing over potential vote fraud, dirty tricks in registration, and purging of voter rolls. Anyone has to try and figure out why voter turnout in our country is so low (we are ranked 114th in the world in that category, by way of comparison, Cambodia is ranked 2nd in the world, and they do not have compulsory voting, either), look to the never-ending bullshit that has engulfed our country's "democratic" system of voting. No third parties are given anything resembling a level playing field, the rules become more confusing and/or petty each and every election cycle, and to say the very least, the removal of the process from non-partisan hands does nothing to ensure the bullshit will just get higher and more pungent on every lap...I mean, we have all seen what happens when a career-building, politically motivated Secretary of State (not naming names, Katherine Harris), gets in the mix...

The one change I am starting to hope for more than anything else in the aftermath of this election is Sarah Palin fading back into the woodwork in Alaska. Never before have I seen someone so ill-equipped to handle the national political stage. She makes Dan Quayle look like he discovered the Theory of Relativity, and she even makes Dubya look like he at least knows what he's doing, even though it's mostly been wrong and damn near criminal (and that's the stuff that wasn't flat criminal). Raving idiots like Palin and Rep. Michelle Bachman of Minnesota are the reason I said the cause of women in political roles is being set back for generations to come, and the more they talk, the more it seems like they are bending over backwards to prove me right. These know-nothing desperate housewife wannabes are perhaps the great new unseen danger in the political arena, and you don't even need a Saturday Night Live sketch to see that...

Which disturbs me more about "Great" Britain...that you need a license to throw away the fucking plastic wrap your brown bag lunch, or that doctors in the country need a new helping hand to figure out whether or not a patient is, in fact, dead? Neither. It's the fact they are still considered a world power of any sort. The nation has well went past even being a parody of themselves, and if it weren't for a handful of comedians and actors, they would have no export of any value, other than dumbass news stories for me to rip apart on my show each and every week...

What civic planning fucking genius puts a prison next door to a kindergarten? What moron allows a kindergarten to open next to a prison? Man, and to think, Brazil is on the verge of becoming a major player on the world stage due to their huge energy resources...then again, rather not think about that for the time being...

Switzerland feels it needs to pass a constitutional amendment to protect the dignity of plants? Allow me to facepalm briefly...what's next, People for the Ethical Treatment of Lettuce? Oh well, can't say too much...it's not like the United States has managed to come through on that "all men (or women) created equal" shit they've been touting for 200+ years now. Curious, though...what's the penalty for picking a wildflower from the side of the road? Are we talking a fine, or is there a jail term involved for violating the civil rights of a plant?...

Jeffrey Goldberg, the guy who has made a bit of a name for himself by going through airports coast-to-coast circumventing their security measures, most recently boarding a flight from Minneapolis-St.Paul International to Washington, DC with an Osama Bin Laden t-shirt on and a fake boarding pass with no photo ID on him, has to be applauded for showing us the business-as-usual operations of the Transportation Security Administration. For a country whose government has went above and beyond in playing the fear card in racheting up "homeland security," this is hardly a shock. Borders are not secure, shipping ports are not secure, and so on and so forth. What I want to know is, while Goldberg's quest may be noble, what did he have to Google up to find an "inflatable Arafat doll," and did he use a fake name to order it? There's exposing lax security, and then there's having your name linked to that kind of purchase...

My condolences to the private investigators in Australia...I mean, it had to be a tough life already, getting laid in the name of the common good, but now, just a promise of sex for money is evidence enough? I sense a sudden drop-off in the numbers of PI's doing their thing, so to speak, down under, so to speak...

Great show again, as always, in my less-than-humble opinion. Quick shout outs to friends of the show Jennifer Dunn, dealing with an illness in the family, and Tinkerbell, who has been hospitalized for illness the last couple of days and may be facing surgery. I told Jennifer I have no use for organized religion, but for both these longtime friends of myself and co-host ppdingles, I'll pray for them, and I would ask that fans and listeners of the show would keep them in their thoughts and prayers as well. See you all next week, for an all-new episode.

In just 15 minutes on an all-new Probably Uncalled For...

Episode 71: Come join Thomas Keister and ppdingles tonight, as they'll be discussing the latest on the 2008 Presidential election, including John McCain already working on his concession?, Sarah Palin swinging and missing on strike 4, voter fraud, some mind boggling Stupid Britain, prison breaks, prostitution, and equal rights for plants? Yeah, gonna be one of those shows...

For God’s sake, someone buy Palin a helmet before she hurts herself

So let me get this straight...Sarah Palin, who bounced through five colleges to get her degree, still does not have any idea what the role of the Vice-President of the United States is?

How the hell has she managed to make it this far in life, let alone politics? While I can't say much about bouncing from school to school, as I am on my third, when I was in 8th grade, back in 1989-90, I had to take and pass a class on the U.S. Constitution to graduate and move on to high school. One of the things I learned...that the Vice-President does not run the Senate! The Vice-President is merely president pro tempore, which is just a title, and votes only in the case of a tie. The Vice-President does not help craft policy on the Senate floor, or anything of the sort. My mom, who had to take the same test back in the 50's, also knows this.

I'm sure Palin would love to be VP, where she can meander around in sweeping circles on the White House lawn, looking for things to shoot, but in the last few weeks, she has shown she wouldn't even be qualified to be "Queen of Alaska," a job more suited to her acceptance of a successionist movement in the very state she plays Governor of.

The running joke has been that Palin is not smarter than a 3rd grader, in reference to her latest swing and miss on the question of the role of the Vice-President (for those of you scoring at home, that was strike 4!), but I am now starting to question whether or not she is truly smart enough not to walk into shit without the help of her handlers, or perhaps one of those tennis balls on an antenna, like you see with people who can't pull into garages in their SUVs.
